More info on breeding and seed releases at the end.

SOUTHERN HUMBOLDT

Let’s start with an update from our farm in Southern Humboldt, California, the roots of our brand. My longtime friend of almost 15 years, and extremely experienced and passionate ganja farmer, Howard has taken over running the farm completely by himself. A true craft one one-man operation. Due to the challenges in the CA market and a lack of resources, we’re only growing a portion of the farm and focusing on quality. The plan is to offer small batches of the award-winning quality we are known for to select retailers. The exciting news is that he is growing over a dozen different varieties, many of which are new selections that have never been grown on my farm in California before.

We’ll keep you posted on where you can find it
before it hits shops.

OHIO

I spent the better part of September on the road launching Rebel Grown into new markets, starting with Ohio.

I found the perfect partner to represent what we hope to represent, the highest standards for quality. Our partners Anthos Organics grow in organic living soil indoor beds made from repurposed industrial horse troughs. They are one of only two Kind Certified organic cultivators in the state of Ohio.

They are rocking our award-winning cuts of Double OG Chem and Double OG Sour, our Island Mtn Headband, and will continue offering a menu of the very best genetics we have and continue to select. To do justice to our brand and genetics, they have created a special curing process just for our stuff and hand-trim everything meticulously.

My dad actually grew up in Ohio, outside of Cleveland, and I used to go there as a kid in the 80s-90s for Thanksgiving and holidays to visit my grandmother. The whole experience visiting the grow and some of the dispensaries was a huge honor, and in a way felt like a homecoming due to the roots and relatives I still have in the state.

Lastly, the Director of Operations is a special guy I want to tell you about. The grow is in a small community of East Liverpool, Ohio, right on the West Virginia and Pennsylvania border. It used to be the pottery capital of the US, with a bunch of mills and porcelain plants. When that industry went under, the community has really struggled ever since. There are very few jobs, and poverty and drug use are rampant. Tyler, the Director of Operations, grew up in East Liverpool. He was always passionate about cannabis and used to have a low-key indoor trap-style grow house back in the day. At a certain point, he gave up growing as he was feeling the pressure and risk, and decided to try to find a job in the legal industry. He took a job as an entry-level worker in the veg room at a medical facility in Pennsylvania. He was recognized for being on point and was quickly promoted again and again to management.

Eventually, the company partnered with a group in Ohio and offered Tyler a job in his hometown, where his parents have a nearly 300-acre multigenerational farm struggling to maintain and survive. Recognized for his commitment, integrity, and leadership, he continued to rise and is now the director of the entire operation for both the grow and the manufacturing, which is making fire live resin with our best gassy genetics. Spending a week on the road with Tyler was a huge honor and made this partnership so much more special for me, as I was able to meet all the individuals at the grow and dispensaries who put so much pride into their work every day, and they are proud to offer and represent me and Rebel Grown. The respect and honor are mutual.

You can find our best herb at all FRX and Queen City retail locations, and we are dropping statewide at many other retail stores and chains each week.

Let’s go!!

ARIZONA

Next, it was off to spend a week in Arizona with my partners The Flower Shop. You can find our best genetics available at their retail shops in the Phoenix and Mesa areas.
They have introduced Rebel Grown onto their deli menus since June, and have been making a name for our Peak OG, which they selected from our DBL Bubba Kush seeds in-house, which has tested as high as 4.7% terpenes.

My last trip to AZ was 10 years prior for an executive spiritual retreat with Steve Deangelo and the Harborside leadership team, from when I was briefly director of operations focused on government relations and cultivation design in Monterey County, CA.

Arizona 2015

This partnership is more than 2 years in the making. I’m excited to tell you more about it in our next letter as we’re gearing up to offer Rebel Grown statewide soon!

Looking forward to telling you more about how this partnership came to be organically through my friend @pico_brand, the grow, and new varieties in the pipeline.

VERMONT

Not only did we have an amazing growing season, but our crew was incredible throughout the harvest. Everything is down, and things are coming off the drying lines. We recently started trimming, and the first deliveries of our 2025 crop are going out to stores today. Look out for it at West Street in Rutland, Depot Shop in Windsor, and statewide soon. Lots more info on next letter to dive into Vt.

NEW YORK

We are officially live and available New York!
You can only find us exclusively (for now) at our friends CON-BUD in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Honored to have developed organic friendships and relationships with some of the realist to do it in NYC and the state as a whole. Feel free to learn about Con-Bud from their website. The owner and the store have an amazing story. I’ll get more into the relationship in the next letter.

I want to think all the folks in New York who helped make this happen, and shout to the OGs in the game for making me feel welcome when I visit.
My herb first started making its way to NYC as far back as 2004. Two decades later, I’m excited to bring the fire and hopefully offer New York something special.

I will share what’s been going on and what our plans are in the next letter. For now, I hope some of you can enjoy a small exclusive drop of Double OG Chem at Con-Bud in the Lower East Side! Excited to share more soon.

BREEDING & SEED HARVEST

I just want to say, all the things that we are working on and trying to accomplish are done with extremely minimal resources. There is a very small group of people working with me to make all this happen with the belief that Rebel Grown, our genetics, my story, and what I hope it represents will have value and a positive impact in the future. We are currently operating and surviving month-to-month. Without their dedication and hard work, this doesn’t exist.

I feel like I should make a whole separate newsletter to break down our 2025 breeding project, from the details of the open pollination hoops, state of Vermont propagation license, and partnerships with several federally licensed companies, varieties, great lengths towards sustainability, standouts, etc. There’s a lot to unpack there.

For now, let’s just have some fun. We are offering 25% off all of our seeds on our website until December 1. planning to do some additional sales for the holidays starting mid-December.

NEW SEEDS

We have some new listings up. My favorites are the OG Sour Durban X Double OG Sour F1s. There’s a very detailed description on the site.

We also have a fresh batch of Butterscotch seeds. Butterscotch is Guava Chem x Double OG Sour. 7th place Emerald Cup Winner from 2018.

Even though we have recently offered F3 and F4 stock, I went back to the original F1 to select my favorite plants and expressions. Loud gassy, chem, and huge buds or cylinders of dense OG Kush-style flowers.

One of my favorites and some of our best.

If you’re looking for feminized seeds, we are doing small batches of some new Doc 15 crosses. They are tested and are amazing!

And something new we’ve never shared, Double OG Chem (Vt Doc S1 cut) X (Cherry West back-cross 4) F3

A favorite Double OG Chem s1 selection from over 200 plants, with the loudest gas and great climate resistance in the northeast, crossed with Freeborn's Legendary Cherry West back-cross 4, original CW bc4 males selected by our Vt farm manager Owen in 2023 after running the line in making selections for 4 years.

I selected males from the F1 in 2024 for an open pollination and only kept seeds of my favorite two females, which we used F2s of this year to make the current F3 offerings.

Plants are stunning in almost every way. Beautiful resin, color, healthy vigor, climate resistance, and most importantly, unbelievably crazy wild terpene profiles of loud gas and smooth gas backed sweet cherry west, with little to no terpinolene.

CLONES

We are proud to offer clones directly to consumers, compliant with federal regulations. We are sharing some classics as well as some of our own selections. Our website is updated weekly.

This is a great opportunity for home growers to grow some of the legendary originals, popular modern stuff, and some of our best unique selections.

There’s a detailed history of our Nursery experience and intentions on the site, where you will also find a current list of what’s available. We hope to build this long-term as a trusted source for many of you, and we will share more info in the next letter.

MUSIC

I don’t put this out there very much, but I plan to. You can check out my music at this link if you’re interested. I have a huge catalog to share, and I’m still writing and recording regularly. Hoping to have stuff on more commercial platforms in the near future. For now:

I would really like to thank you if you’ve read this far. You’re interest in Rebel Grown means the world to me. I look forward to and plan to have more regular updates, and if we can really get some traction in some of these new markets, I will have the resources for more in-depth marketing to really share what all this means to me and what I hope it can mean to many of you.
